Simrik Air has initiated exclusive air ambulance services for COVID-19 positive patients. The Government of Nepal and the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) approved Simrik Air to transport infected Coronavirus patients in compliance with the Ministry of Health and Population and the WHO Standards’ health and safety requirements.
Consequently, Simrik devoted its two helicopters solely to the transport of COVID-19 positive patients. On Monday, 12 October 2020, the first infected patient airlifted by Simrik Air Helicopter was from Butwal to Kathmandu HAMS Hospital in the Biological Isolation Chamber of the Patient Isolation Center, devoted to the transport of COVID-19 infected patients.
Simrik rendered impeccable support by transporting patients needing emergency care into the appropriate sectors/hospitals during the lockdown time; the fact that the Coronavirus pandemic is spreading quickly in most areas of Nepal is also a matter of concern. In this severe case, CAAN has helped for patients needing immediate care and treatment by giving Simrik Air permission to airlift COVID-19 positive patients from across Nepal.

Simrik Air claimed to dedicate saving lives through this testing phase, supplying with the best and most reliable operation, wherever and whenever.
Currently, Corona patients are only rescued by army helicopters. CAAN has granted Simrik authorization for this delicate private-sector rescue. Simrik expressed its appreciation to CAAN for granting such valuable permission, trusting in the efficiency and protection of Simrik ‘s operation, and expressed its dedication to delivering the service securely, taking into account the rescue’s sensitivity.
